Free Services for Balancing Work, Family and Personal Life

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) from First Choice Health was designed to help you manage life's ups and down. You and your covered dependents have access to free professional services to help you deal with personal problems that can interfere with your health, well-being and productivity. EAP benefits are available on a "per issue, per rolling year" basis. This means you can use this program more than once in a given year. Behavioral Health Assistance

Up to 3 free sessions

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers behavioral health assistance to help you deal with a crisis or other emotional hardship, such as grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, a breakup, domestic violence, or substance abuse, to name a few. If you need immediate support, call (800) 777-4114. Licensed providers are available 24/7 by phone for crisis management.

You and your dependents can receive up to three free counseling sessions with a qualified clinical expert. You'll pay no deductible, copay, or coinsurance for these sessions. This benefit can be accessed one time per issue per rolling year.

The EAP provider list includes licensed mental health professionals, psychologists, clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists. A provider will call you directly to schedule an appointment, usually 24-48 hours after you speak with EAP staff.

You'll be able to connect with your provider discreetly, face-to-face or via telehealth, to discuss your concerns, get assistance, and utilize crisis support. Whether you engage in person or virtually, any information about you and your contact with this program will never be released without your consent, unless required by law to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

Talkspace — Private, virtual sessions are also available through Talkspace, an online platform offering thousands of licensed providers nationwide. Using Talkspace, you can engage with a counselor from your iOS or Android device, or the web. You can send text, audio, and video messages to a licensed therapist anytime. Help Texts — Supplemental, evidence-based mental health support is also available by enrolling in Help Texts. It's a year-long program of text messages designed to help you or an eligible family member work through the stages of grief. There's no cost to participate. Legal Assistance

Free 30-minute consultation or mediation

Through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP), you can receive a free, 30-minute consultation with a legal expert. You can use it for help with most types of legal matters, including family law, civil law, criminal law, small claims court advice, bankruptcy, tax issues, estate planning, real estate services, immigration and naturalization. Emergency services are available after hours and on weekends. Should you decide to retain the attorney for ongoing services, you will receive a 25% reduction in the attorney's normal hourly fees. Childcare Assistance

Caring for a child can be overwhelming. Through the Employee Assistance Program you can receive expert assistance and resources for childcare and educational needs. Are you looking for a childcare center or family daycare provider? Do you have questions about school choices, enrollment, or arranging care before and after school? Those are a few good ways to utilize this benefit, which is available to you once per issue per rolling year. The EAP representative will do the research and deliver the answers and resources you need to make informed decisions. Eldercare Assistance

You might be responsible for making their living arrangements. They might need long-term care, in-home care, personal care, transportation, and meals. You might be responsible for making financial and legal decisions on their behalf. Those are just a few good reasons to use this benefit, which is available once per issue per calendar year. ID Theft and Fraud Resolution

Through the EAP, you're eligible for a 60-minute telephone consultation with a fraud resolution specialist. You'll receive guidance for documenting, reporting, responding to, and preventing incidents of identity theft and other fraudulent activity. The specialist can assist you in restoring your identity and credit rating if they've been compromised. Additional recovery services, if necessary, will be available to you at a reduced cost. Should you need legal assistance, the EAP can provide a referral and a no-cost 30-minute consultation with an attorney.

Home Ownership Assistance

Are you buying or selling a home? Home Ownership Assistance can save you money on relocation, mortgages, and realtor costs. Convenient, experienced, and individualized guidance is available from a network of prescreened mortgage and real estate professionals. With access to more than 250 home loan options, the program can help you consolidate debit, lower your interest rate, and restructure your mortgage to eliminate PMI. The program also offers down payment assistance, grant programs, and a $1,000 credit toward closing costs.
