The Oregon-Washington Carpenters-Employers Health and Welfare Trust officially merged with the Carpenters Health and Security Trust of Western Washington. There are no benefit changes at this time. You’ll remain covered under your Oregon-Washington Carpenters-Employers Health and Welfare Plan through August 31, 2021, provided you remain eligible. Please contact William C. You will receive a new Regence ID card in the mail around this time. You can begin using it right away. Show it to provider(s) for any appointments or admissions on and after September 1, 2021. Your new ID card will include information for your prescription drug benefits and telephone numbers for other service providers.

Beginning September 1, 2021, all medical and time-loss claims will be processed by Carpenters Trusts of Western Washington.

• Are you eligible for September coverage under the Oregon-Washington Carpenters-Employers Health and Welfare Plan? If so, you are automatically eligible for September coverage under the new plan.
• Are you covered under the Oregon-Washington self-funded program? If so, the current benefits under the Northwest Carpenters Health and Security Plan will be applied effective September 1, 2021.
• Do you have Kaiser coverage? If so, you will continue participating in the program through 2021, assuming you have eligibility. Moving forward, Kaiser Permanente will be offered option under the Northwest Carpenters Health and Security Plan.

New plan booklets for the Carpenters Health and Security Plan will be mailed to all participants and retirees around November 1, 2021. In addition, it is the beginning of open enrollment, allowing participants to choose between the Carpenters Health and Security Plan and Kaiser Permanente for medical benefits beginning January 2022.
