Activities & Rewards

We're still putting the finishing touches on the Carpenters Rewards program for 2012. Check back later for more information. Meanwhile, here's a short recap of last year's program.

The 2011 Carpenters Rewards program ended on December 31, 2011 with 741 members earning $100 gift cards for achieving 1,000 points. Their awards are token reminders that getting and staying healthy really does pay off.

Compared to incentive programs in previous years, the 2011 Carpenters Rewards was a marathon of a challenge. We congratulate the qualifiers for going the extra mile with their participation in wellness programs and activities. At the same time, we want to give a shout to the 1,517 members who completed a health risk assessment. Indeed, there is so much more than can be done to improve and maintain one's health, but assessments and screenings are excellent first steps.

In 2011, members demonstrated a "thousand percent improvement" in participation with online health programs offered by Mayo Clinic. In 2010, the average enrollment in any of these programs was 35 members. One year later, an average of 550 members were enrolled in each program. That is an improvement of 1,471% in participation alone, not to mention the benefits to the health and well being of our members.

Yes, there is always room for improvement, and that's our goal for the Carpenters Rewards program in 2012. We'll be sharing the details with you shortly.
