06/01/04 - National Student Clearinghouse National
Student
Clearinghouse
National Student Clearinghouse
is a way to streamline
verification of student
eligibility status for dependent
children ages 19 through 23.
The Trust Office is simplifying
the way we verify student
eligibility under the Carpenters
Health and Security Plan. The
plan will be contracting with
National Student Clearinghouse,
a not-for-profit
corporation and the leading
private source for U.S. college
enrollment data. Nearly 1,000
schools participate in this
program which allows
providers of student-based
services to obtain immediate,
affordable online verification.
This convenient service cuts
through the administrative
hurdles and delays often
caused by contacting the
schools directly.
If you have a dependent child
age 19 through 23 who is a fulltime
student attending one of
the participating U.S. colleges,
we will provide you with
additional information and an
authorization form in the next
two months. Participation in
this program is voluntary and
there is no cost to you or the
student.■
