You are encouraged to use a preferred provider whenever possible.

The plan pays these providers pre-negotiated reduced fees which helps control your out-of-pocket expenses as well as the expenses of the plan.
Primary care physicians are listed in bold in the Directory of Preferred Providers.
To verify a provider’s network status, please consult the Directory of Preferred Providers or contact a customer service representative at the Trust Office.

The preferred provider network extends to neighboring states including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and Oregon. While there is no copayment for using a nonpreferred provider in these states, you are encouraged to use the preferred network when traveling in these states.
