The retiree
should present the
Carpenters
Trusts ID Card to the
provider’s receptionist each time a preferred provider is seen. The ID
card verifies the individual’s participation in the network, ensures
direct billing, guarantees the pre-negotiated reduced fees, and lists the
telephone numbers required for inpatient preadmission certification and second
surgical opinions. This identification card is
not
a guarantee of eligibility for benefits.
