Benefits are provided for services and supplies associated with the administration of blood and blood plasma. Extraction and storage of autologous blood and blood derivatives in advance of a covered scheduled surgery is also provided. Blood, packed blood cells, plasma, or any element of blood that can be donated by a voluntary donor are not covered.
