Benefit Statements

Plan records are updated each quarter to reflect employer contributions, including 401(a) supplemental contributions, for the previous quarter. Quarterly Benefit Statements are mailed to you four times each year. We encourage you to review these statement and notify the Retirement Department at the Trust Office if you find any errors or discrepancies.

Benefit statements list, on a year-by-year basis, your beginning balance, employer contributions received on your behalf, investment earnings or losses, forfeitures and payouts (these two columns apply primarily to property settlement situations), the balance of your account at the end of each plan year, and your vesting status in this plan. 401(a) supplemental contributions are separately accounted for within the plan but are invested along with other plan assets. Currently, there is a separate benefit statement for 401(a) supplemental contributions.
